Each time I watch a movie where there is a sad part or ending, afterwards I find myself making up a script in my head of the way I would have liked it to end. As a teenager I loved all the 80's and 90's movie hits as these reflected my desire for a more exciting life. I adored the gorgeous men, the love stories, the scenery and the soundtracks.

1. Top Gun - I loved 'Maverick'- Tom Cruise in this film. He looked absolutely gorgeous especially when he was playing volleyball with that toned and tanned torso on display. Another beautiful shot of him is when he is sitting on his motorbike unsure of whether to return to Top Gun after his friend Radar Intercept Officer 'Goose' played by Anthony Edwards is killed during an engagement mission. The scene shows him tearing off on his motorbike in his lovely bomber jacket with a beautiful skyline at dusk in the background. This screen shot is one of my favourites in the movie.

Sad part I'd like to change: I did not want Goose to die. It was so sad and especially the scene where Meg Ryan who plays his wife is waiting in the reception to meet Maverick with her husbands belongings. Previously they were all so happy together playing 'Great Balls of Fire' by Jerry Lee Lewis in the piano scene. I've since heard that the restaurant where the scene took place was destroyed by a fire.

Favourite song from the Movie: 'Take my Breath away' by Berlin

2. Ghost- Beautiful romantic film with beautiful actors. The film is about a couple 'Sam Wheat' played by Patrick Swayze and 'Molly Jensen' played by Demi Moore who are madly in love and are in the process of renovating and decorating their new apartment. One of the scenes shows Molly at a pottery wheel in the middle of the night where Sam upon wakening joins her. He wraps his arms around hers and begins kissing her as 'Unchained Melody' by the Righteous Brothers plays. The scene is so romantic and you can feel the love radiate between them.

One night as they are walking back to their apartment Sam and Molly get attacked by a thief and Sam is shot dead. Oh my God this broke my heart when I was a teenager. I cried so much as they were so in love and they had just moved into a fantastic apartment . Such a sad scene.

Sad Part I'd like to change: Could he not of just went into a coma and communicated telepathically with Oda Mae Brown (Whoopi Goldberg), the psychic who communicated the messages as relayed from Sam to Molly in the quest to track down his murderer. At the end of the movie when Sam appears to say his final farewell to Molly and tells her that he loves her to which she replies Ditto, why can't he just be coming out of his coma and then go live happily ever after.

Favourite Song from the Movie: Unchained Melody by the Righteous Brothers

Above are just two of many a movie I'd like to change, other sad ones for me include:

Up close and Personal- 'Warren' played by Robert Redford and Sally played by Michelle Pfeiffer star in this film about a young aspiring anchor newswoman who is mentored by her boss Warren. They fall in love but towards the end of the movie Warren decides to go abroad to cover a big news story in a war torn country and is killed within a day or two of arriving. So sad... Celine Dion performed the movie hit song 'Because You Loved Me'. I shed a good few tears on this film. The chemistry between these two actors was amazing.

Legends of the Fall- A good bit of this movie is heart wrenching stuff. 'Tristan' Brad Pitt witnesses his brother Samuel tangled up in barbed wire and shot by the Germans. He falls in love with Samuels ex fiancée Susannah upon his return from battle but is wrecked with guilt for not protecting Samuel. So he leaves home and a heart broken Susannah is left eagerly awaiting his return. She is further devastated when he sends word for her to marry another as he has yet to find himself. She later marries another brother Alfred whom she does not love like the way she loved Tristan. Tristan eventually returns and marries Isobel a native Indian who grew up on his home ranch. He is happy and has two beautiful children and his trade business is thriving. Jealous congressmen and fellow suppliers are enraged with Tristan and try to warn him one night as he picks up his dues. The following day after a reunion with his brother Alfred and Susannah his wife is shot dead as they return from a day out in town. Susannah subsequently commits suicide as she is so heartbroken that she cannot be with Tristan.

I'm only giving you a snapshot of the story line as the film is so detailed. The scenery in this film is stunning. It was filmed in British Columbia and won an award for best cinematography.

I wish Susannah could have had her love returned and married Tristan.

Marley and Me -The dog dies....its not fair!

Beaches- Best friends 'Hilary' Barbara Hershey and 'CC Bloom' played by Bette Midler share a strong bond from childhood to adulthood. Hilary suffering from cancer dies on the beach with her much loved friend beside her. 'Wind beneath my Wings, performed by Bette Midler is the theme tune for the movie. One word for ye all- Kleenex!

What film do you love that makes you cry each time you watch it and what would you change about the storyline?
